UltraFree™ coating technology

A carrier or aid is not always necessary.

  • UltraFree™ coating technology effectively controls the crystallization process of paclitaxel, resulting in a uniform and stable microcrystalline coating of the drug
  • The particle size distribution testing of the ZENFluxion DCB coating shows that 75% of the bound particles are in the 5-10 pm range.
  • The integrated UltraFree™ coating prevents early drug detachment during procedure preparation and device tracking.
  • The UltraFree™ coating rapidly disintegrates into microcrystalline particles at the site of injury and provides rapid drug transport to the arterial wall. The UltraFree™ coating technology minimizes the dose of the drug that is washed out by the blood stream and the action of the drug.
  • The effective tissue concentration of the drug in the affected area persists for more than 90 days.
